Bolon Released From Hospital
Trainer-driver Rod Bolon, injured in a training mishap Friday at The Meadows, has been diagnosed with a severe concussion and torn neck ligaments, but was released Saturday from Pittsburgh’s Allegheny General Hospital.
A family member said doctors indicated the ligaments would heal without surgery, but that additional testing will take place once concussion symptoms subside. There was no indication when he might return to work.
Bolon, 54, was injured when, while in a jog cart, he was struck by a loose horse and propelled from the cart to the track.
