When Mike Saftic decided to leave his hometown of Sudbury, Ontario - and his hometown track of Sudbury Downs - to seek a full-time career in harness racing, ending up in the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame wasn’t even part of his wildest dreams. Now, some forty years later, he’s about to be inducted into that very Hall, but he still finds it hard to believe that it’s happening. By Chris Lomon.
