Clinton Raceway Announces Opening Day Details

Harness racing at Clinton Raceway

Clinton Raceway has announced details for the opening of its 2026 live harness racing season on Sunday, May 31.

Opening Day, with a first post time of 1:30 p.m., will serve as a community-focused fundraiser in support of Central Huron Secondary School, bringing together racing fans and local supporters for an afternoon of exciting harness racing and charitable giving.

As part of the day’s festivities, guests will have the opportunity to enter to win a “Backyard Nights” Prize Package, which includes two Adirondack chairs, a custom fire pit, a YETI cooler and tumblers, and Pineridge BBQ food package.

The 2026 season will run over 14 weeks, pausing on June 7 for the Clinton Spring Fair, and concluding on Sept. 6 with the annual Charity Driver's Challenge.

A major highlight of the season will take place in July, as Clinton Raceway hosts its signature Legends Day celebration alongside the prestigious National Driving Championship (NDC) — an event that will showcase some of Canada’s top driving talent and draw fans from across the country in support of the Clinton Public Hospital Foundation.

I've never been to Clinton since I live in The States, but it sounds like it's the most family-friendly racetrack in Canada. Would anyone agree or disagree with me?
