The 2025 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale resumed on Tuesday, Sept. 30 at the Fasig-Tipton Sales Pavilion in Lexington, Ky., and Jimdougie Armitage brought the day’s highest price.

Jimdougie Armitage, a son of Captain Corey-Quick Bet, went for $1.04 million ($750,000 USD) to Ake Svanstedt Inc. of Wrightstown, N.J. He is the first foal of Quick Bet, a full sister to Breeders Crown champion and Dan Patch Award recipient Winners Bet. The mare was a four-time winner on the track and took a mark of 1:56.1. The colt, Hip 182, was consigned by Armitage Farm LLC.

Hip 184, Kountry Win, was sold for $590,278 ($425,000 USD) to Brad Grant of Milton, Ont. From the first crop of King Of The North, he is the second foal out of Breeders Crown and New York Sire Stakes winner Winndevie. The mare’s first foal, Winnpanzee ($270,623, 1:52), won a pair of Kentucky Sires Stakes legs this year. Kountry Lane Standardbred LLC consigned Kountry Win.

Hip 195, City Of Light, drew a winning bid of $416,667 ($300,000 USD) from Nancy Takter as an agent. The Alliance Bloodstock consignment is by Chapter Seven out of Altar, a New Jersey champion and Bluegrass Stakes winner.

Amore Insolente, Hip 281, brought the hammer down at $402,778 ($290,000 USD) on a bid by Sabine Kagebrant, an agent for Courant Inc. of Delray Beach, Fla. Consigned by Preferred Equine, the Tactical Landing colt is the second foal of Insolentreusite Fr, who earned $67,195 from four wins in France. His third dam, Etta Extra, produced a pair of double millionaires: Mara Bourbon and Qualita Bourbon.

Hip 149, Samuel Station, garnered a $361,111 ($260,000 USD) winning bid from Tony Alagna, acting as an agent. The son of Bulldog Hanover-Sloopy was a Spring Station Bloodstock LLC consignment. The colt is the first offspring of Kentucky Championship Series leg winner Sloopy, a half-sister to stakes winner Chiapanecas ($409,351, 1:51.3).

The same price was paid for Olbia, Hip 263, a Muscle Hill-Graceful Lady filly. Marcus Melander, as an agent, made the final bid on the Hunterton Sales Agency offering. The filly’s dam is a half-sister to 2014 Hambletonian Oaks champion Lifetime Pursuit ($1,074,358, 1:50.4), who produced this year’s Hambletonian runner-up and Yonkers Trot winner Super Chapter.

On day two, $26,619,444 ($19,166,000 USD) changed hands on 222 yearlings for an average of $119,907 ($86,333 USD) per sale, an 11.6 per cent decrease from last year's second-session average of $97,678 USD.

The opening session of the Lexington sale was held on Monday and the Walner-French Cafe filly Dejeuner garnered the most attention with a $1.38 million ($1 million USD) price tag to top day one. Selling as Hip 70, Dejeuner was purchased by Noel Daley, who served as agent for Winning Key of Chesterfield, New Jersey. Kentuckiana Farms consigned the half sister to 2024 Elegantimage Stakes winner French Champagne (1:51.4 - $739,033).
