Standardbred Canada and Landmark Racing Stable have announced the launch of the “Win a Share in a Racehorse” contest! 

This unique opportunity will allow aspiring Junior members the chance to step into the world of Standardbred racing and experience the excitement of horse ownership firsthand.

Starting today, eligible Junior members can enter online at standardbredcanada.ca for a shot at winning a $2,000 ownership share in the Landmark 19 Stable. This prize includes shared ownership of a Standardbred yearling, granting the winner access to exclusive owner privileges such as stable visits, race day experiences and regular updates on their horse’s progress. 

Entries will be accepted until Sept. 1, 2025.

CONTEST FORMAT:

• Contest entry is limited to one entry per Junior member.
• Eight entries will be drawn on Sept. 2, 2025, from all entries received.
• The names on the eight entries drawn will be finalists.
• The eight finalists will be contacted and asked to attend the Grand River Raceway on Sept. 5, 2025.
• A signed form will confirm attendance and participation.  
• Each of the eight finalists will be drawn and matched to a horse in the contest race.
• The finalist matched with the winning horse in the contest race will be declared the winner of the ‘Win A Share in A Racehorse’ contest and will be awarded the Grand Prize.
