Road To The Meadowlands Pace - Week 9

Louprint winning at Woodbine Mohawk Park

None of the horses in the first three positions of Dave Little's Road to the Meadowlands Pace poll were in action last week, but Fallout was winning to move up a notch and become the new No. 4.

Louprint, Madden Oaks and Captain Optimistic held the top three spots.

The leading North America Cup champion's next planned appearance is the Pace eliminations on Saturday, July 5.

“He’s really good. We’ll train faster on Saturday [June 28] and on we will go,” said Louprint's trainer, Ron Burke.

Cup runner-up Madden Oaks remained in Canada with his next scheduled start this Saturday, June 28 at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

“He’s good. My whole barn has been sick so he stayed in Canada last week," reported New Jersey-based trainer Cameron Capone. "We put him in to race in an overnight [Race 1] on Saturday at Mohawk. We want to get a good mile in him before we go to the Pace. Doug McNair will drive. Braxten [Boyd] has a lot going on here, but is still his regular driver.”

The 10th and final weekly Top 10 comes out Thursday, July 3.
