Class Of 2011 To Be Feted At The Raceway
The Raceway at The Western Fair District will honour its top performers from 2011 during the annual awards night on Saturday, February 25
Trevor Henry captured another driving title at the London oval this past season while Paul Taylor will take home the hardware as the top trainer.
Among the equine winners is older trotting horse/gelding of the year Indiana Hall. The nine-year-old made $125,000 last season for his connections and notched six of his 14 victories at The Raceway.
The equine awards are based on purse winnings for those horses who made a minimum of six starts at The Raceway. The claiming awards are given to horses who had the most claiming victories at the track during the year.
The 34th Annual Awards Banquet will start with a cocktail reception at 6 p.m., followed by dinner and awards and a dance to follow. Tickets are available through Marketing Coordinator Sarah Imrie at 519-438-7203 (ext. 320) or by email at [email protected] . Tickets can also be purchased this year online at www.westernfairdistrict.com.
