A new fractional ownership initiative called the Forest City Racing Club has launched in Ontario.

As a local club based in London, Ont., organized by Ryan Clements and made possible by the sponsorship of The Raceway at the Western Fair District, the Forest City Racing Club aims to make horse ownership accessible to all.

The club offers a unique membership experience in two stages. First, a club member can enjoy the perks of membership: cheering on club-owned horses, invitations to visit them in the barn and winner's circle, access to exclusive seating and member benefits at the Top of the Fair restaurant, meet and greet opportunities with some of The Raceway's top drivers and trainers, and much more. Second, members are invited to partner in ownership of club horses.

"The Raceway is proud to support the Forest City Racing Club," said Rob Lumsden, Director of Racing, The Raceway at the Western Fair District. "This is a fantastic initiative that will help introduce new people to our exciting sport and help grow the industry we love across the province. We look forward to hosting the new owners, along with their horses, at The Raceway for this season and many more to come."

The club's inaugural event is planned for Oct. 17 at the London Classic Yearling Sale. Those wishing to attend this new owner's seminar and learn more about selecting yearlings and ownership in general are welcome to sign up for free. One of The Raceway's top trainers, Lindsey Kerr, as well as longtime horseman Daniel Clements will be on hand to share their experience with attendees.
