Road Block For Wilmot Racino Proposal?
Developer Thomas Wilmot, Sr. has hit a snag in regard to the racino he wants to build in New York's Onondaga County

On Tuesday, November 1, according to a report on Syracuse.com, James Rheinhart, chairman of the Onondaga legislature, tried to convince his colleagues to vote favourably for a non-binding endorsement of Wilmot's proposed racino. The vote on the issue came back a deadlocked 9-9.
Wilmot has been cited as saying that he needs the support of the county in regard to the issue before he brings it before the New York State Racing and Wagering Board for consideration.
The report also states that the outcome isn't devastating for Wilmot's effort at this point, as the proposal could be up for another vote by the legislature before the year is up.
