.

Leaving from the inside post position, Zip The Lip and driver Brian MacPhee zipped out in front and led the way past panels of :29.3, 1:00.3 and 1:31.2 before extending his lead to five lengths and hitting the wire in 2:00.3. Ultimate Success (Leonard Myers) was second while Onehotvett (Mark Bradley) completed the triactor.

The five-year-old son of Bettors Delight-Tsunami Hanover recorded his fourth win of the season in 26 starts for trainer Blaine McKenna, who co-owns with Gary Arsenault of Miscouche, P.E.I.

Oakrock Almighty mapped out the fastest mile of the night stopping the timer in 1:55.1 for driver Ron Matheson, trainer Jackie Matheson and owners Jack Keenan of Stratford, P.E.I. and Joseph Dahl of Burlington, Ont. The five-year-old Rambaran-Best Undercover gelding held off late challenges from San Marco Hanover (Kenny Arsenault) and Life Savior (Brodie MacPhee) for his second win in a row.

The MacPhee family had a big night at the office as Brian had a driving triple while his son Brodie posted a driving double on the night.

Driver Walter Cheverie also had a driving double on the card.
