Ontario Regional Driving Championship Rescheduled To Wednesday, March 30

Officials from Standardbred Canada and Western Fair Raceway have confirmed that the Ontario Regional Driving Championship will now take place on

Wednesday, March 30.

This event had to be rescheduled following the cancellation of racing at Western Fair on Friday, March 11 due to a snowstorm.

Eight of the province’s top drivers will compete in the ORDC to see who will represent Ontario in the upcoming National Driving Championship.

Drivers will receive points based on their finishing position in each of the eight championship races. The top two point earners will move on to compete in the National Driving Championship on Saturday, May 7 at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at Charlottetown Driving Park. They will join Atlantic Regional representatives Ken Arsenault and Gilles Barrieau, Western Regional reps Brandon Campbell and Dave Hudon, and Quebec reps Mario Charron and Sylvain LaCaille in the NDC to determine Canada’s representative for the World Driving Championship.
