Panastasia Is Built For Speed
Western Fair Raceway hosted another leg of the Xtreme Sprint Series for pacers during its 12-race program on Tuesday, with Panastasia racking up yet another
victory for her connections.
The five-year-old daughter of No Pan Intended, who entered Tuesday’s half-mile assignment with a win and a second-place finish in earlier legs of the event, took full advantage of her pole position starting spot en route to a half-length score in :56.3. Sent off as the favourite, Panastasia would up defeating Emerald Jaguar (Anthony Haughan) and Windsun Rachel (Doug McNair).
Rachel Oenema of Burgessville, ON holds the ownership papers on the mare who now boasts a 5-6-2 record from 16 trips to the track this season. The 12-time winner has potted more than $62,000 in her career.

The Xtreme Sprint is open to pacers, four years old and upwards that have started in an $8,000 or less claiming event at a racetrack in Ontario after August 31, 2010.
The top nine point earners from the Xtreme Sprint legs will advance to the $20,000 championship, a one-lap, five-eighths-of-one-mile dash, at Georgian Downs on November 16.
