Flirtiscape Wins Yonkers Mares Open

Friday night's blind-draw $38,000 Open Trot went to repeat winner T Js Mr Lavec (Bartlett). Leaving from post No. 2, the 17-10 choice two-moved around Wind Surfer (Jim Pantaleano), securing the lead just after a :29-second opening interval. With a :29.2 second quarter, Pricevalleyrevitup (Cat Manzi), away third, made his second move.

However, he offered just mild pressure toward the 1:27.2 three-quarters, T Js Mr Lavec, a length-and-three-quarters to the good turning for hiome, won by a length-and-a-quarter in 1:56.3. Sand Top Gun (Brent Holland) did get into secomd, with Pricevalleyrevitup, Wind Surfer and Master Pine (Gregory) grabbing the small change.

For T Js Mr Lavec, a six-year-old Mr Lavec gelding trained by Scott Blackler for co-owners Beverly and Gary Paganelli, Leon Schickman and Allen Kaplan, he returned $5.40 for his fifth win in 17 '10 tries. The exacta paid $13.80, with the triple returning 154.50.
