More Than Just A Pretty Face
Though Finnish trainer-driver Riina Rekila had racked up an impressive portfolio of wins since arriving in Canada less than four years ago, her name had yet to resonate across the North American harness racing scene. Until now
.
It took just one remarkable upset in an Ontario Sires Stakes Gold Final to turn all eyes to this blue-eyed blond. And when the helmet comes off, we discovered it's hard to look away.
The following Trot exclusive video, produced by Tony Felgueiras at Mindcraft Productions, goes behind the scenes of Trot's photoshoot with Riina by Phil Brideaux of Eikona Photography.
Grab the July issue of Trot for the full feature on Riina Rekila.
Girl Power!!!!! - Here's yet
Girl Power!!!!! - Here's yet another great harness racing story that should be in the sports pages of the Star or Sun.
I've seen so much about the Queen's Plate and the participants, why, why, why can't someone get harness racing the same kind of coverage??????
Talent and good
Talent and good looks.....she has my bets, past, present and future. I look forward to my next edition of Trot.
I think this is a fantastic
I think this is a fantastic video. Excellent quality and very professionally done. The photography and production are outstanding. Congratulations to Phil Brideaux and Tony Felgueras. Riina appears to have it all-beauty,charisma,talent and that million dollar Finnish accent. If she is willing,I think she is the type of horseperson that we can take advantage of to promote our sport to the public. I would love to see this promotional video and others on television regularly. Great job Kim and keep it coming.
