Sixty-Nine Remain Eligible To NA Cup
The connections of 69 colts made the April 15th sustaining payment to this year’s $1.5 million Pepsi North America Cup and remain eligible
to North America’s richest race for pacers.
Only 20 colts have dropped off the NA Cup trail since initial payments were made on February 15th.
Headlining the group is Metro Pace champion and O'Brien Award winner, Sportswriter. The son of Artsplace, who is trained by Casie Coleman, is the 3-1 choice in Trot Magazine's Pepsi North America Cup Spring Book.
The April 15th sustaining payments were also made for WEG’s other major stakes events such as the $1 million Canadian Trotting Classic, $1 Metro Pace and $850,000 Canadian Pacing Derby.
