Northside’s May 4 Race Date Cancelled
Trot Insider has learned that the program of live racing that was scheduled for Saturday, May 4 at Northside Downs has been cancelled.
The Atlantic Provinces Harness Racing Commission has given the green light for the track to cancel. A make up date has yet to be announced, but Trot Insider will convey that information once it is received.
The track is now scheduled to conduct qualifying sessions on Sunday, April 28 (at 12:30 p.m.) and Saturday, May 4 (at 12 noon). Trot Insider will provide an update in regard to the status of the sessions if alternative plans are announced.
A Standardbred Canada field rep will be on hand at the qualifiers in order to take care of any SC business that horsepeople need to address.
SC would like to remind all horsepeople that all memberships and eligibility fees need to be paid. Additionally, name changes need to be made before a horse ever qualifies. Coggins tests are required as set out in the rules in your racing jurisdiction.
