Exhibition Park Claiming Series Info

Trot Insider has learned of the details of a three-week claiming series that will be taking place at Exhibition Park Raceway in the near future.

The $2,500 - $3,000 Claiming Series will kick off with a $1,500 opening leg on Saturday, June 16. The $1,500 second leg will be contested on Saturday, June 23. The $2,000 consolation and the $3,500 (added) final will both be contested on Monday, July 2.

Participants must race in the opening leg to be eligible to the final. If not racing in the second leg, the horse must compete in an overnight race in Saint John.

There must be 14 entries for the event to fill. The top eight money winners will be in the final. The next eight money winners will be in the consolation.

Declarations close at the time and date posted on the weekly condition sheet.

All nomination fees will be added to the final (the estimated purse is $4,200).

In the event of a tie, entries will be selected by lot.

There will be claiming on all legs, including the consolation and final.

The series will be conducted under the rules and regulations of the APHRC and Standardbred Canada. Claiming authorization must be signed by the date of declaration.
