Longtime Standardbred horse owner Carole Stewart has passed away at the age of 72. Trot Insider has received news of a celebration of life which will take place next week.

Stewart passed away peacefully in her sleep at Langley Memorial Hospital on Thursday, September 4 with friends and family at her bedside.

Carole, who was born on April 7, 1942 in Beechy, Saskatchewan, will be dearly missed by her mother, Martha Clark; her brother, Garney Clark (Kathy); her five children, Clark Beelby (Chrissy), Brent Beelby, Shannon Thieme (Tony), Todd Beelby and David Stewart (Tammy).

Carole had a special place in her heart for her six loving grandchildren, Kelsey, Raine, Michael, Jaden, Kyle and Kiara and many other extended family members. Carole was predeceased by her father, Devone Clark.

An avid horse lover, Carole helped train a stable of horses with her family in Cloverdale B.C. during the late ‘70s and early ‘80s with much success.

In her later years, Carole took a reflexology course to the delight of her family and friends who were spoiled with each visit.

In lieu of flowers, have a nice dinner with a great glass of wine and toast your loved ones.

Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Langley Memorial Hospital.

The family is inviting everyone that knew Carole to a celebration of life which will take place on Wednesday, October 8 from 1 - 4 p.m. at the Shawnessy Community Centre, located at 224 Shawmeadows Road SW, Calgary, Alberta. Light lunch and refreshments will be served.

Please join Standardbred Canada in offering condolences to the family and friends of Carole Stewart.
