Thinking Out Loud Passes

It is with heavy hearts that Seelster Farms announces the sudden passing of Thinking Out Loud due to colic complications during surgery at the University of Guelph on Thursday, June 10.

Currently owned by those that raced the nearly double millionaire stallion, Robert McIntosh Stables, CSX Stables and Al McIntosh Holdings; Thinking Out Loud was retired to stud after a brilliant racing career. One of his most notable wins was the 2012 North America Cup, voted by fans of harness racing this past March as one of the best of all-time.

After just five years at stud, Thinking Out Loud has sired winners in excess of $1,000,000 and will have a number of yearlings available this fall at the sales.

Seelster’s Reproduction Manager, Ann Straatman offered, “Thinking Out Loud was a smart, happy horse who lived an exceptional life. He will be missed by all of us here at Seelster, but especially by his former caretaker, Nicki Pedden-MacQuarrie and his current caretaker, Joanne McGinnis.”

Please join Standardbred Canada in offering condolences to the connections of Thinking Out Loud.
