Christine Deagle Passes

Trot Insider has learned that Christine Deagle, the daughter of Walter and Gina Deagle, passed away on Monday, May 18 after a long and courageous battle

. She was 19.

Christine was a passionate harness racing fan whose family raced horses at both Inverness Raceway and Truro Raceway. Christine's favourite horses included Armbro Angora, Lies The Truth and her three-year-old colt, Pictonian Manawar, who is making his first lifetime start in Truro this Sunday.

Two of the most special moments for Christine were accepting the award for Armbro Angora at the Inverness awards banquet and winning the Papermaker Pace with Lies The Truth during last year’s Old Home Week in Charlottetown, PE.

Christine was also a Toronto Maple Leafs fan and was known for her enthusiasm in cheering on her team during hockey season.

There will be a funeral mass at Stella Maris Church in Inverness on Friday, May 22 at 11:00 a.m.
