Walker Re-appointed As ORC Commissioner

Ontario Racing Commission Chair Rod Seiling announced today that the Government of Ontario has re-appointed Brenda Walker, of Owen Sound, Ont., as ORC Commissioner for a three-year term

, effective February 2, 2011.

Walker was first named to the Board of the ORC in 2003.

“Brenda has considerable experience in racing and an in-depth understanding of the industry,” said Seiling. “She knows first-hand the challenges of working in horse racing. Most importantly, she has a notable record of service as a Commissioner, and over the years has served the racing community in many ways. These are great assets to the ORC and I look forward to her continued efforts to share her knowledge of the industry.”
