After losing two days to start the season, Fraser Downs will be adding a pair of race dates to its 2024 calendar.
Officials with Fraser Downs have indicated that the B.C. oval will add Thursday, May 2 and Friday, May 3 as live race days. First race post time for both days is 7 p.m. (PT)

From a financial perspective, I think it would have made far more sense for Fraser to add Saturday, May 4 to its racing schedule rather than May 2 or 3. The first Saturday of May every year is Kentucky Derby Day, and there is more money wagered on horse racing on that day than on any other day of the year.
