Trot Insider has learned pacing mare Sprinttothefinish died from the injuries she suffered from a fall during Sunday’s card of racing at Century Mile.

The multiple-horse spill, which resulted in the tilt being declared a ‘No Contest’, claimed the life of Sprinttothefinish and sent drivers Rene Goulet and James Jungquist to hospital.

Sprinttothefinish, a four-year-old daughter of Armbro Baylor-Casimir Hotpants, had assembled a 6-1-1 record this season from 19 attempts while banking over $13,000. The nine-time winner banked just shy of $20,000 in her career for owner Cory Manning of Belmont, MB. She was trained by Kevin Hildebrandt.
