The first trailer for a new documentary on harness racing, "I Am, A Harness Racing Horse" has been posted online.

Produced by renowned photographer Monica Thors, the harness racing documentary is in the final stages of production after three years of filming and 600 hours of editing.

Created with "passion and determination for the rebuilding of the sport of Harness Racing," the ideals behind the harness racing documentary are as follows:

  • Respect and compassion for the versatile harness racing horse
  • Understanding of the new thinking of marketing of harness racing and harness racing horses
  • The commitment to educate the United States of America and its people about the harness racing horse and the sport of harness racing
  • The majestic history of the harness racing horse and the sport of harness racing
  • The need for the community of harness racing to allow deeper thinking and focus
  • A new vision of the sport of harness racing

Thors and her crew also produced a Merry Christmas message for the harness racing community.

Ralph , Thank you for comment , I really do appreciate all comments that I receive . You talked about politicians. I like to suggest to forward my ''Happy Holiday from I Am, A Harness Racing Horse'' and preview trailer of Harness Racing Documentary film ''I Am, A Harness Racing Horse'' to all politicians that are inwithin any opinions of what will happen to the future of Harness Racing in Ontario. The message that this Christmas greeting carries , is not just for Harness racing people , it brings in the history that horses built civilisations , that we should practise gratitude , appreciate all small things , give to cats, animals and harness racing horse retirement foundations .And more that all people can connect too. And most of all it shows the unconditional love for Harness Racing horses, so that viewers can connect to ''Connect to the truth of who I Am, A Harness Racing Horse '' This short film also displays clearly all the hard work involved in working with Harness Racing Horse , it also displays the products that Harness Racing Horses is in need of on a daily basis , so the local, global and national , world wide economy thrives of Harness Racing. There is 9,8 million horses in USA , and with every horse there is at least 3 people involved , as we all know , like blacksmiths, veterinarians, massage therapists ,other therapists, turn out farms, suppliers of farm supplies , horse equipment companies, car and truck dealers ,special clothing to people working with horses , and much more , so that means that 27 million people in USA has an interest in horses direct or indirect . Politicians in Canada will be educated and as these films are very well produced and edited , they will also feel the excitement and care that goes into Harness Racing Horses and Harness Racing l, if anyone can supply me with a list of email adresses , I will be willing to write a letter and forward my films. Thank you.Monica Thors

Allan, Thank you for the nice commment . Allan, as you do know part of the Harness Racing Documentary film ''I Am, A Harness Racing Horse '' history and why it was being produced in the first place , you are correct , that this is what Harness Racing Horses and the sport of Harness Racing needs right now and have needed for while.
My thoughts on how to , or how to we have to market Harness Racing Horses and harness racing right now is the following :
It is time to present the Harness Racing Horse by itself. This new positioning strategy can be initiated by presenting to the public colorful, clear and interesting moments of a harness racing horse's life.
These preview trailers or short films, or Christmas greetings does not include the marketing of any specific product. It focuses only on the harness racing horse itself. It does not focus on a racetrack; it does not focus on betting; it does not focus on getting involved in harness racing under any pressure to do anything. It focuses on the harness racing horse's ability to attract and engage people simply by virtue of what it is and the many aspects of its remarkable character and what it does.
This will allow harness racing participants to truly appreciate their own harness racing horses and will also demonstrate to potential spectators an easily understood and interest-building introduction to the horses of our sport.
I will produce these preview trailers in connections with the present production of my Harness Racing documentary film "I Am, A Harness Racing Horse" . Thank You Allan ,for much support
from Monica Thors for the Harness Racing Documentary film ''I Am, A Harness Racing Horse''
