Dropping in class to the $7,500 Preferred 3 Pace, Mckinney prevailed off a pocket trip on Sunday night (November 20) at Flamboro Downs.

After following in the pocket through opening panels of :26.4 and :55.2, McKinney looped race leader Adkins Hanover on the way past the 1:25.1 third quarter mark and prevailed by one and half lengths over the oncoming Windsong Leo in 1:56, with the wide-rallying favourite Half A Billion finishing third. McKinney paid $7.10 to win as the 5-2 second choice.

Denis St Pierre drove the six-year-old Santanna Blue Chip gelding for trainer Corey Johnson and owner Arthur Slack of Rockwood, Ont. The win was McKinney's 20th lifetime and fifth of the year from 34 starts.
