After a full season of racing, the best and brightest of the Alberta bred two- and three-year-old pacers will be heading to the gate this Saturday, Nov. 2 for the Alberta Sires Stakes Super Finals.

Each of the four finals will feature a $75,000 purse. The finals are complemented by four consolation races with a purse of $15,000 each.

The fields include both two-year-old returning champions: Chris Lancaster trainee Rockin Mystery headlines the Super Final for three-year-old pacing fillies, while Paul Davies' Outlawgrabbingears headlines the sophomore pacing colt event.

The week will kick off with a live post position draw streamed on Century Mile’s Facebook page on Wednesday, October 30, at 10:00 a.m. (MT).

Once the fields are set, track announcer Ken Gee will be joined by assistant racing secretary Josh Murphy on Thursday as they take racing fans through a look at Saturday evening’s card and make their picks.

Connections of this year's Super Finals contenders have been invited to attend a private gala hosted by the Alberta Standardbred Horse Association. The owners, trainers, and drivers of horses who have qualified for the finals will get to indulge that evening to celebrate all their hard work in preparing their horses for this year’s challenge of champions.

Finally, on Saturday evening our equine athletes will go toe to toe in the final event of their stakes season with a first race post time of 7:15 p.m.

Parking and Admission are free! Buffet reservations for Saturday’s race card are available and can be made by emailing [email protected] or calling 1-587-338-1361.
