In light of Wednesday's nomination of Don Amos to the role of Ontario Harness Horse Association President, former President Darryl MacArthur has issued a statement to Trot Insider

“I would like to express my appreciation to those who provided assistance and support during my time as President with OHHA. I would be remiss if I didn't extend special thanks to Brian Tropea — a consummate professional in the face of any challenge. During a period filled with considerable adversity, I am proud of our many successes and feel the stability provided as a result of those efforts can be a strong foundation for continued progress in 2010.
"While I am disappointed with the outcome of Wednesday's election, I congratulate Don Amos on his new role, and wish the new executive committee all the best in the year to come. Best of luck to everyone in 2010 and I look forward to seeing you all at the track."
