We made it to the top of the mountain today! As we passed homes that were built most of the way up, which is 653 meters above sea level (once there) and what a beautiful site it is.
Shortly after we saw a 1100 year old church, I scoped for a place to get that hair cut I said I so badly needed. Well, I won't need one for a while!!! It's never been so short!!! However, service was great and I was getting drinks and fruit snacks! I thought wow a nice place. Then I got my bill! It was $910, convert that over and that's almost $200 Canadian! What could I say...who knows, there might be a Jody Jamieson look-alike contest coming.
Then there was a Norwegian fish dinner planned for drivers and guests (which was very good) and it gave me a chance to meet the other drivers and go over the program for tomorrow. After learning I have a couple of outside post positions to conquer they tell me the race distance is 2100 metres. So gently nod my head and say OK before turning to my dad and asking him to refresh my memory on how many metres are in a mile.
