We scoped Beach immediately following the race, concerned about his un-characteristically slow last quarter. He scoped showing mucus in his throat and lungs, which prevented him from getting his wind on the end of the mile. He was feeling really good this morning, went for a big run in the paddock. He started his antibiotic treatment, and after a few days we expect him to bounce back good as new. It's a good thing we decided to roll him along to the three quarters where the sickness finally took a toll (as it should have after arriving there in 1:20 and change), had we not done that we may have never even noticed the sickness, luckily, it was easy to see that the Beach was not himself.

Brent - can you confirm the tentative race plans for SBSW? I'll be heading down to Lexingtonfor the second week ... and hope he'll be in the Tattersalls Pace???

a bit silly to book yur hotel at delaware to see sbsw, his connections told me in my hotel last october in kentucky that the jug was not on the cards for him,its been common knowledge for some time.instead i came over from scotland to see him in the north america cup. you only go for plan b,when plan a is struggling

Awesome horse Brent! 1:50 and sick shows just how fast he will go. How about taking him home for the GC & S next year?

Hi Brent: What all race fans are seeing is the best horse that has ever graced a racetrack. I am from PEI and have saw SBSW race in the NA cup and it was the thrill of a lifetime. Stick to your game plan and give all Maritime race fans and all race fans a new world record.Take good care of this gifted athlete and always have Paul driving,as in my estimation he is the most underrated driver in North America.

Nothing that antibiotics won't fix. Stick to your guns and look after him, and the hell with the nay sayers. He still makes me checking the web by the minutes to see his results. Loads of luck.

Dear Brent. I hope that the other owners and the harness racing community can sway your decision about going to The Little Brown Jug. I booked a hotel at $300 a night in Deleware (before you announced that you were not going) for three nights, just to see The Beach. You said you wanted to do something special in Lexington, well, you could really do something special in Deleware. I could see two heats under 1:50 (maybe 1:49).To me, thats more special than a 1:46 or so over The Red Mile. I'm also going to Lexington. In my wildest dreams, I will see him at both.
Thanks Terry.
