Longtime Maritimes owner/horseman Lester White recently passed away at the age of 83.

News of White’s passing comes courtesy of a piece by Nick Oakes in The Guardian which states that the longtime owner, breeder and King’s County Standardbred horseman passed away recently.

Lester is the father of trainer Blayne White and is the grandfather of horseman Kuri White. Lester’s daughter, Wendy, who is married to horseman Shane Bernard, is also a regular at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
