2016 OHHA Scholarship Winners
The Ontario Harness Horse Association is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2016 OHHA scholarships.
For the eleventh year in a row, OHHA is awarding scholarships to children of active, participating OHHA members who have entered their first year of full-time undergraduate studies leading to a first post-secondary certificate or diploma.
This year’s recipient of the $2,500 University scholarship is Monica Fritz (from Walkerton) who is enrolled in the Bachelor of Science, Honours Major Animal Biology program at the University of Guelph.
Recipients of the $1,500 college scholarships are Connor Gassien (Port Hope), who is enrolled in the Business Administration-Human Resources program at St. Lawrence College and Travis Moore (Sarnia), who is enrolled in Lambton College’s Mechanical Technician program.
One of the criteria to be awarded a scholarship is proven academic achievement and these three candidates realized outstanding results during their secondary education.
OHHA thanks all students who applied for a scholarship and wishes them the very best of luck with their studies and for the future!
