Allstar Man Wins Truro Feature
Back in action after a month-long layoff, Allstar Man stole the spotlight in the Boxing Day feature at Truro Raceway on Monday afternoon, winning in wire-to-wire fashion.
Allstar Man led the field of six in the $1,475 Winners Over Pace through fractions of :29.2, :59.4 and 1:29.2 before holding off pocket-sitter Dinger Two (Kenneth Parker Jr.) by half a length in 1:58.2. Desir Dorleans (Todd Trites) followed four and three-quarter lengths behind in third, finishing just ahead of the wide-rallying Surrealist (Paul Langille), who is one of the top winners of 2016 in North America with 19 victories.
A four-year-old son of Four Starzzz Shark, Allstar Man is owned by trainer Tammy Lynn MacKay and driver Emmons Ralph MacKay. The four-year-old gelding has earned nine of his 10 wins this year.
