“Western Fair District would like to congratulate Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited on being the successful bidder of the Southwestern Ontario gaming bundle,” Hugh Mitchell, the CEO of the Western Fair District, said earlier this week.
Western Fair District has been the landlord to the OLG Slots operation since opening in London in 1999. Over the last 17 years, the OLG Slots at Western Fair District have helped cater to the evolving entertainment, recreational and educational interests of the WFD’s customers. It has also complimented the organization’s mission and vision of creating unique experiences that build positive memories.
“We look forward to working with Gateway and OLG, who both have our full support as the operation transitions under the OLG’s modernization plan,” furthered Mitchell. “We will work together to ensure the successful future of gaming in the London and Southwestern Ontario region.”
A similar congratulatory statement came from the operators of Hanover Raceway on Friday (December 16). The contents of the release from Hanover, Bentinck & Brant Agricultural Society appear below.
