Big Weekend For Fantasy Stable
The race for supremacy in the 2016 Trot Magazine Fantasy Stable heats up this weekend with the lucrative and bonus-added Breeders Crown finals.
Four of the stables have bankrolls exceeding $6.4 million to this point, but only one has topped $6.5 million -- Mark Lee's TKB Stable. Lee, of Port Perry, Ont. holds a slim lead over Pier-Luc Lamy's Lamy Stable and Karen Revington's Crank er Up stable.
Lee stood atop the leaderboard at last check-in as well. His TKB stable is fronted by pacing powerhouses Betting Line, Wiggle It Jiggleit and Always B Miki.
The Trot Magazine Fantasy Stable contest is based on total earnings of selected horses and five percent of the earnings of selected trainers and drivers between May 20 and December 31, 2016. For the purposes of the fantasy bankroll, the winners (horses only) of the 2016 Breeders Crown Finals will each receive a $200,000 contest bankroll bonus.
At the end of the year, the winner of the contest will receive entry into and travel to the 2017 World Harness Handicapping Championship, a prize valued at (approx) $1,300.
