Take My Picture Triples In Open Trot
Joseph and Laurie Davino's Take My Picture ($7.80, Ross Wolfenden) won his third straight race on Wednesday (October 12), in 1:56, in the $17,700 Open Trot at Harrington Raceway.
Trained by Nik Drennan, Take My Picture, a venerable nine-year-old, increased his lifetime bankroll to more than $1.1 million (U.S.) in achieving his 36th lifetime win with a front end score from post seven over Theresademoninme and Spunky Jack.
The fourth race on the program, won by Make A Muscle K ($3, Wolfenden), honoured the memory of the late J.D. Dennis, who passed away last year. Dennis was a long-time horseman and former board member of the Delaware State Fair and Harrington Raceway. Dennis was a regular at the racetrack, watching two of his sons, George and Eddie compete on a nightly basis. Friends and family joined in the winner's circle including his wife Nellie, sons George, Eddie, Durand, and daughters Ellen and Sandra to honour his memory.
I Like My Boss ($11.60, George Dennis) was an undercard winner in a $11,000 trotting event in 1:58.1. Owned by Bob Shahan and Ashley and Jimmy Parsons, the five-year-old Don Boss Vita recorded his 27th career win in his second straight trip to the winner's circle.
Wolfenden had three wins on the program. Trainer Bob Shahan had a double as did driver George Dennis.
