Little Brown Jug Results Stand
Reports and test results from Ohio indicate no reason to change the order of finish in the 2016 Little Brown Jug.
According to Ohio's ABC 6, lab tests on Little Brown Jug winner Betting Line came back clean after concerns the pacer received an illegal supplement prior to the race. Tom Wright, Director of Racing for the Little Brown Jug and President of the Little Brown Jug Society, told ABC 6 that the purse would be paid out.
With his straight-heat world-record Jug win, Betting Line (Bettors Delight - Heathers Western) pushed his unbeaten streak to 13 for trainer Casie Coleman and owners West Wins Stable, Christine Calhoun and Mac Nichol.
While plans had Betting Line possibly racing in Lexington during the Grand Circuit this past weekend -- races to which he was not eligible and would require paying a supplemental entry fee -- Coleman curtailed those plans to keep the colt fresh for his Ontario Sires Stakes Super Final this Saturday at Mohawk Racetrack. He'll then head to The Meadowlands for the 2016 Breeders Crown, with eliminations slated for the following weekend and the finals on October 29.
