Go To Hill Tops Second Session
The 2016 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale continued on Wednesday, Oct. 5 at the Fasig-Tipton Pavilion in Kentucky, with offspring of Muscle Hill topping the second session.
Go To Hill, selling as Hip 153, was the most expensive yearling from the day with a final bid of $350,000. Consigned by Preferred Equine Inc. for breeder Tim Klemencic of Trenton, Ont., the Muscle Hill colt out of the Andover Hall mare Habit Of Creature was purchased by Swedish agent Robert Lindstrom for SRF Stable of Boca Raton, Florida.
Tae Kwon Deo, Hip 166, was purchased for $240,000 by Lufti Kolgjini Ab of Veberod, Sweden. Bred by New Jersey's Deo Volente Farms and consigned by Preferred Equine Inc., the Muscle Hill colt is out of Breeders Crown champion Brigham Dream.
Stylish Volo, Hip 129, rounded out the top three highest priced yearlings from the second session. The Muscle Hill-Sterling Volo filly from the Kentuckiana Farms consignment was purchased for $220,000 by Emilio & Mario Rosati of Cordell Park, Nsw, Australia.
The second day of the sale was comprised of 146 yearlings, which sold for $10,351,000, producing an average price of $70,897. In comparison, last year's second session featured 154 yearlings with combined sales of $8,621,000 and an average price of $55,981.
The Lexington Selected Yearling Sale continues through Saturday, October 8, with each session beginning at 7 p.m.
