If you have a sweet tooth, love harness racing, and want to support a great charitable endeavour, Mohawk Racetrack is the perfect place to be this Saturday night (October 8).

A bake sale will be taking place Saturday night at the Campbellville, Ont. oval, and all proceeds will go to Icing Smiles Canada, a not-for-profit charity that provides custom celebration cakes and other treats to families impacted by the critical illness of a child.

The organization’s website explains that it is the ‘simple things, like a birthday cake’ that are luxuries to a family battling illness. Icing Smiles Canada’s goal is to create a custom cake for the ill child, or their sibling, that provides a temporary escape from worry and creates a positive memory during a difficult time.
