Freshman Fillies Star In Liberty Bell
Two-year-old trotting fillies were featured in three $35,000 divisions of the Liberty Bell Series on Friday afternoon (September 30) at Harrah's Philadelphia.
Long Driveway withstood a late-mile challenge from EZ Passer to win the fastest division of the day over a 'good' track in 1:57.4 for driver Tony Schadel and trainer Linda Schadel. The lightly raced daughter of Glidemaster and Fox Valley Ying is now two-for-four in her career with earnings of $25,560. She paid $8.60 to win as the 3-1 third wagering choice. Favourite Bridal Suite followed off a pocket trip in third.
The other two divisions were won by favourites Crann Tara (Dan Dube) in 1:58.4 for trainer Linda Toscano and Dangle Then Deke (Jim Pantaleano) in 1:59 for the Dirk Simpson stable.
