Masse, Stiletto Hall Racking Up Wins

Stiletto Hall won the opener in 1:54 with Masse in the bike for the Don M JR Stables and Don Byrne Stables 2008 Inc. of Edmonton, Alta. The seven-year-old Blissfull Hall gelding, who sat in third for most of the mile, made his move at the third quarter mark and kicked home in :28.3 to win by three and three-quarters over the pacesetter, Lilsharkshooter (Scott Knight). C A Marauder (James Burke) rounded out the top three.
The win was his 13th of the season in 22 outings and 29th of his career bumping his bankroll to $251,991 with the lion's share of the $9,600 purse.
Masse's pupil Nf Star Power (1:58.2) won his third straight in Race 3, while Minnesota Hanover lowered his lifetime mark to 1:56.3 in Race 7. Angelic Star (1:56.1), who has yet to finish worse than third in her 11 career starts, also won for Masse in Race 9.
To top off his successful night, Masse drove C Lec Naughty Lady (1:56.4) to victory in Race 10 for trainer Edwin Lechner.
The resident of Surrey, B.C., has recorded 40 training wins so far in 2009 with a Udrs of 0.523 and over $200,000 earned. The winner of 1,733 races lifetime has banked over $6.8 million in purse earnings.
