Touch And Go At Tioga

Touch And Go and Howard Parker took down the second leg of the M&J Oil and Lube Pace on Saturday night at Tioga Downs

.

The duo used an off the pace tactic as Vlos and Jimmy Marohn Jr. cut through fractions of :27, :55.1 and 1:23.3. Cheyenne Knight and Bruce Clarke, who were heavy favourites in the seventh race event, attempted a first over move, but could not clear the pace setter. Parker setup Touch And Go fourth around the last turn and waited until the stretch drive to pace home a winner in 1:52.2.

Prime Time Talent and Matt Kakaley finished second, while heavy favourite Cheyenne Knight finished third.

It was the fourth win in ten starts for the four-year-old son of Life Sign-Go Lightly, who is trained by Nick Giberson for Suttons Bay Racing. The victory increased Touch And Go’s earnings to more than $27,000 on the year.

Howard Parker, Matt Kakaley, and Bruce Clarke each posted driving doubles on the night’s ten race card.
