Go Get Lost Passes
Go Get Lost, 32, passed away peacefully on Sunday (September 25) surrounded by family.
Go Get Lost was a $1-million earning Standardbred that won 40 of his 101 career starts (and finished on the board on 78 occasions), but at Fox Den Farm, he was family. He lived out his days loved by his family and their friends.
Jacqui Nigh reported the news of Go Get Lost’s passing via the USTA website. She states that she is proud of her parents, Tom and Linda Winebrener, for giving ‘Lost’ a life estate. Lost took full advantage of their hospitality. Nigh’s son, Tommy, and her grandson, Thomas, loved him with all of their hearts, which are broken.
Nigh has stated that the family will forever be better horsepeople – and people, generally – for having Lost in their lives. He will forever live at Fox Den. Run free and eat lots of Tastycakes you sweet old man!
Nigh would like to send a special ‘thank-you’ to Cheri Stambaugh, Chanon and Michael Zimmerman and Charlie Shelton for being here with Lost during his final moments.
Please join Standardbred Canada in offering condolences to the connections of Go Get Lost.
