According to officials at Rideau Carleton Raceway, the 28th edition of the Des Smith Classic Pace will not require eliminations, and eight horses will go straight

to the final on Sunday, June 28, 2009.

The post positions for the $162,000 event will be drawn during the live card of racing on Sunday, June 21, 2009.
