Hudak, A-Mac & Fractional Ownership
"We're now competing with restaurants, Great Wolf Lodges, movie theatres for disposable income from families and that's really what we've always had to do for this industry."
Tim Hudak might be exiting the political arena but he's still making headlines and discussing them. He has an one-hour talk show that airs live on Sunday afternoons on NewsTalk1010. This past Sunday Hudak talked horse ownership -- more specifically fractional horse ownership -- with former political ally Anthony MacDonald of thestable.ca.
"When I knocked on doors, people would tell me that [horse ownership] is expensive and it's complex. Well, if you're telling me the only reason that thousands of people haven't got involved in horse racing is that it's expensive and that it's complex, we've fixed them both.
"We're going to have a wave of people coming into this game over the next decade and I really believe this is the way to fix what has been ailing this industry for decades."
The discussion starts around the 18:40 mark and last approximately 10 minutes. To listen to the segment, click the play button below and advance the progress bar to the 18:40 mark.
