O’Leary Matinee Races Postponed
The 2009 matinee Challenge Series races will kick off at Pinette Raceway on Wednesday, June 17 followed by racing Saturday, June 20
at the Charles F Willis Racetrack in O’Leary. The West Prince Horsemen’s Association of O’Leary has postponed their first race date in order to finalize the improvements to their track and stable area.
Ten Challenge Series races will take place at matinee tracks across the Island from June to September with horses competing for a berth in the Department Of Agriculture Matinee Championship Finals at Summerside Raceway.

Pinette Raceway - Wednesday, June 17 - 6 p.m.
Charles F. Willis Memorial Racetrack - O’Leary - Saturday, June 20 - 2 p.m.
Charles F. Willis Memorial Racetrack - O’Leary (Potato Blossom Festival) - Saturday, July 25 - 2:30 p.m.
Prince County Exhibition - Alberton - Thursday, July 30 - 6 p.m.
Prince County Exhibition - Alberton - Saturday, August 1 - 2 p.m.
Pinette Raceway (Kilted Pace) - Sunday, August 2 - 2 p.m.
Tyne Valley Downs - Sunday, August 9 - 1 p.m.
Pinette Raceway - Wednesday, August 26 - 6 p.m.
Kensington Raceway - Sunday, August 30 - 2 p.m.
Charles F. Willis Memorial Racetrack - O’Leary (Children’s Wish) - Saturday, September 5 - 2 p.m.
Summerside Raceway – Finals - Wednesday, September 16
Horses must be entered at least two days in advance of the race date in order to be eligible.
