Surrealist Wins Top Class At Inverness
Veteran pacer Surrealist converted off a pocket trip to win Inverness Raceway's top class on Sunday afternoon (June 19).
Surrealist overtook the popular pacesetter, Schooner, near the third quarter mark in a two-horse breakaway from the rest of the field and drew off by nearly four lengths for the 1:58 victory in the $900 Winners Over Pace.
Surrealist notched his second win of the season from six starts. Colin Kelly catch-drove the 10-year-old son of Modern Art for trainer/owner Dana Getto of New Waterford, N.S.
Lifetime, the gelding has won 37 races and $266,330 in purses.
