Chef Lee Cooks Up 59-1 Upset

Chef Lee whipped up a new 'Specialty of the House' on Wednesday (May 11) at the Meadows — a 59-1 upset victory in the $16,500 Winners Over $10,000 Life Trot.
Mike Wilder hustled Chef Lee from post nine to the front, where he released the lead to I Know My Chip. The four-year-old Cantab Hall-Summer Savory gelding stalked I Know My Chip from the pocket and edged him by a neck in the Lightning Lane in a career-best 1:53.3. TSM Photo Bugger finished third.
Norm Parker trains and owns Chef Lee, who now boasts $216,914 in career earnings.
Jim Pantaleano piloted three winners on the 13-race card.
Live racing at The Meadows resumes Saturday, when the program features two stakes for three-year-old colt and gelding trotters: a $167,303 Pennsylvania Sires Stakes and a $100,000 PA Stallion Series event. First post is 1 p.m.
