Grand River Raceway crowned Gary Montgomery the winner of the Grand River Raceway Geek Squad Spring Handicapping Tournament on Tuesday evening

. Montgomery emerged the victor with a hypothetical bankroll of $53.90 in the seven-race contest.

The 58-year-old Elora, ON resident won $200 for his efforts and will advance to represent Grand River Raceway at the $25,000 Trot National Handicapping Championship (TCNHC) in Ottawa in November.

Grand River will qualify two more players for the TCNHC in the fall. The next handicapping tournament at Grand River kicks off in July.
