Tuesday, May 26 at Kawartha Downs marks the return of the very popular 'Own a Horse for a Night Contest.'

Nine lucky contestants are drawn and matched up with a horse in Race 9. Each is given a $5 win ticket and a chance to visit the paddock to meet their horse along with the trainer and driver.

After the race, the winning 'owner' will visit the winners circle for a photo and receive the winner's share, which is $500 dollars. The contestants that finished second through fifth will receive $250, $120, $80 and $50, respectively.

Tomorrows is the first contest of the summer open to racing fans only, so if you have an ORC licence you are not eligible to play, but it's a great way to introduce new people to racing, so make sure you bring a friend or two.
