Western Fair Tweaks Wagering Menu
Officials with The Raceway at Western Fair District wish to advise customers that it will be making some modifications to the track’s daily wagering menu for the balance of the month of February.
Due to the constraints of a tight horse supply, Western Fair will be carding 10-race programs for the balance of the month, necessitating a change in where some key wagers are placed in the daily wagering menu.
Beginning this coming Monday (February 8), the early Pick-4 wager will start on Race 3, while the early Super Hi-5 will be moved up to Race 6. The late Pick-4 will remain on Race 7 while the late Super Hi-5 will continue to be offered on Race 10.
“We don’t like moving our early Pick-4 away from its traditional starting point, but feel it’s important not to have two of our most popular wagers overlapping each other,” said racing manager Greg Blanchard. “This will at least provide consistency until such time as we can move back to our more traditional 11 and 12-race programs this spring.”
Western Fair features live racing every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 6:15 p.m. and Friday nights at 7:15 p.m.
Here’s a look at the 10-race feature wagering format:
Daily Doubles – Races 1 and 9
Pick-3s – Races 1 and 8
Pick-4s – Races 3 and 7
Super Hi-5s – Races 6 and 10
